Rev. Matthew Messenger

Reverend Matthew Messenger joined the church in February 2020. He has a passion for exploring the intersection of faith development and personal experience and how young people and their families navigate those experiences. He has been married to his wife Stephanie for over 20 years and they have 4 children together. Matt has been engaged in youth and adult ministry in the Presbyterian Church since 2010. He is a graduate of George Mason University and Union Presbyterian Seminary with Masters degrees in History and Divinity. Rev. Messenger believes that faith development is a lifelong process, and that the church is central to that development. The church is a place that allows people to explore what it is that they believe, explore how and why we practice our beliefs in the ways that we do, and most importantly, that we show that the church is a place where everyone belongs and everyone is loved.
